Refugees and Migrants – Obligations of the Master
Migrants and refugees travelling by sea are not a new phenomenon, but in light of the recent mass immigration, it is important that everyone on board a yacht knows the obligations they sail under to assist those in distress at sea.
The below document has been prepared jointly by the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the International Chamber of Shipping (ICS), and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
